Time to don your racing helmets – the new Star Wars racing game has a set release date with pre-orders already available.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a new high-stakes racing adventure set in the Star Wars universe. It is also the debut title from Fuse Games, a studio based in Guildford, England, with veterans from the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises. The publisher, Secret Mode, is typically responsible for publishing indie titles like Still Wakes the Deep and Escape the Backrooms. Eager racers won’t have to wait long either, as Star Wars: Galactic Racer is set to release on October 6.
Set after the events of the original trilogy, players will step into the cockpit as Shade, a mysterious pilot featured in Star Wars: Galactic Racer‘s campaign experience. For more competitive racers, the multiplayer game offers different modes across the Outer Rim, with “grudge match” a standout highlight.
The game is brimming with customization features to deck out your personal ride and style on your opponents, with the core roster of vehicle classes including landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and of course, podracers.
The release date announcement also zoomed in with an expansive list of pre-order options and bonuses to get a head start on your speeder drip. Every pre-order of Galactic Racer, regardless of edition, will include bonus livery for each speeder class corresponding with the platform you are purchasing for, green for Xbox Series X | S, blue for PlayStation 5, and red for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
