The Street Fighter Film’s First Teaser Reveals WWE And UFC Talent On A Loaded Cast

The Street Fighter Film's First Teaser Shows WWE And UFC Talent On The Roster

The first official teaser for Paramount Pictures’ Street Fighter film has been released, offering fans a closer look at the star-studded cast and announcing a new 2026 release date for the film.

Legendary Pictures and Paramount Pictures‘ newly announced Street Fighter film has just shared an official teaser. The teaser showcases what would be seen on the legendary video game series’ character select screen, but instead of featuring the video game representations of each character, their real-life actor portraits have been placed in the proper spot for each character.

The reveal also doubles as what Paramount is calling the Street Fighter‘s first official movie poster, and it can be seen in full below. It’s placed side-by-side with the original video game character select screen to show the uncanny resemblance the poster shares with the nostalgic screen. Interestingly enough, the film poster does a good job of keeping character placement, as each actor lines up directly with who the actor is portraying in-game.

Aside from that post, however, none of the cast have followed suit and dropped pictures on how their character may appear just yet. Some of the cast members, like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Alexander Volkanovski, have seen the big stage in combat sports. Reigns and Rhodes are part of WWE, and Volkanovski is currently the UFC Featherweight Champion, adding a level of combat competition experience to the film

The official plot synopsis reads, “Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury,” adding, “But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”

The Street Fighter film, produced by Paramount Pictures and distributed by Legendary Pictures, will land in theatres on October 16, 2026.
