On Thursday, The Game Awards 2024 awards ceremony unleashed a torrent of news and developments in the gaming industry, and CGMagazine has compiled it all in one spot for convenience.
Every year, CGMagazine covers the Game Awards showcase, and The Game Awards 2024 is no different. Each year nominees are celebrated for their contributions to the gaming industry, and recently even Indie Games have gotten a chance to shine in the spotlight. Last year, fans got incredible first looks at God of War Ragnarok DLC, the premiere announcement of the now released Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Zero!, and SEGA even made headlines announcing new entries are in the works for fan-favourite franchises like Jet Set Radio.
The Game Awards 2024 is no different, and we here at CGMagazine have compiled all of the exciting announcements (and the countless trailers) so readers don’t have to, and below is all of the big announcements made this year.

The Game Awards 2024 – Opening Act
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
Dotemu Koei Tecmo and Bandai have revealed a new Ninja Gaiden to start off the pre-show to The Game Awards 2024. High octane side scrolling action awaits those who play Ninja Gaiden Ragebound coming in Summer 2025
One Move Away
A new cozy game was then revealed, showing off gameplay that channels gamers best car packing Tetris ability with One Move Away. It’s coming sometime in 2025.
Slay the Spire II
A new roleplaying deckbuilding roguelike game by Mega Crit was then revealed, the sequel to the hit title Slay the Spire, Slay the Spire II. Devs have revealed it’s still coming to early access in 2025.
Dave the Diver In the Jungle
A new announcement from Mint Rocket the makers of the hit Indie Game Dave the Diver brought a good news announcement for fans, more Dave the Diver. Dave The Diver In the Jungle is arriving sometime in 2025.
A new multiplayer title from the mind of Warren Spector has been shown off called Thick as Thieves. Players will have to channel their best inner larcenist and work together in this co-op first person theft title. Fans can wishlist this title now.
Shadow Labyrinth
Bandai Namco then revealed their next title at The Game Awards 2024, featuring Pacman and 2D metroidvania gameplay. Players pick up the blade of Swordsman No. 8, and take on an action adventure featuring Pac-man.
Steel Paws
A new mobile game coming from the creators of Shenmue and Virtua Fighter is coming, called Steel Paws. It’s arriving in 2025.
Midnight Murder Club
A new multiplayer murder mystery, which reaches early access in February 2025.
Kyora
The next game from Pug Storm, the creators of Core Keeper, has been revealed and it retains the pixel artwork the studio has presented in their previous title. Kyora can be wishlisted on Steam today.
Rematch
From the studio behind Sifu, comes a new soccer sports game featuring the same cel shaded graphics present in the roguelike. The soccer title Rematch comes out in the Summer 2025.
Solasta 2
For the last announcement of the opening act of The Game Awards 2024, The sequel Solasta 2 has been revealed. The new entry showcases an updated version of the strategy RPG elements, and it will hit Early Access sometime in 2025.
The Game Awards 2025 – Main Show
The Witcher IV
The first announcement from the main The Game Awards 2024 show was a bombshell. In comes the GOTY award winning studio, CD Projekt RED, with a brand new game set in the Witcher universe with Ciri in the main role. Fans will be able to explore the dark universe once more, with the Lion of Cintra as the protagonist. Fates will be changed in The Witcher IV. Release date TBD.
Screamer
Screamer redefines futuristic racing with its blend of pulse-pounding competition and cinematic storytelling, featuring stunning animation by Polygon Pictures and an all-star voice cast led by Troy Baker. Set in a neon-drenched 2089, this high-stakes racing drama follows multiple racers through a mysterious tournament where personal vendettas and corporate intrigue collide at breakneck speeds.
A new standalone game from Bandai Namco was then revealed at The Game Awards 2024, from GOTY winning studio FromSoftware. A new game set in the Lands Between demands players to band together, titled Elden Ring: Nightreign. It will arrive sometime in 2025.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has been announced coming to PC January 13, 2025.
Untitled Project From Japan Studio GenDesign
From Epic Games Publishing, and from the creators of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus comes a world premiere trailer of their next project, featuring a futuristic world. The untitled project is still under development.
The Outer Worlds 2
The next title revealed from Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment, comes a sequel to The Outer Worlds aptly named The Outer Worlds 2. Obsidian Entertainment said they included “everything that should’ve been added to the first game” and it will arrive in at a TBD date in 2025.
Split Fiction
Josef Fares then took the stage to announce Hazelight Studios next title, . Embracing all of the other titles in Hazelight’s catalogue, Split Fiction must be played cooperatively. Players will jump from fantasy to sci-fi, and from exosuits to dragons in Split Fiction when it launches March 6 2025.
Omega Day 2067 is coming, and hope will be turned into hunt for the fate of humanity in the next title from Wargaming, Steel Hunters. A world premiere play test is available for sign up now.
The Long Dark II: Blackfrost
The next title revealed at The Game Awards 2024 showed a more desolate version of the world in The Long Dark II: Blackfrost. Early Access will be available in 2026.
Randy Pitchford the CEO of Gearbox Software has then taken the stage to reveal Borderlands 4. The next installment will feature class choice, Clap Traps and countless loot when the next title launches at a TBD date in 2025.
Tekken 8 – Clive Rosenfield DLC Trailer
Following in the footsteps of Tekken 7’s DLC inclusion of Final Fantasy XV crown prince Noctis, Tekken 8 has revealed the latest FFXVI protagonist, Clive Rosenfield is coming to the King of the Iron Fist Tournament, and Early Access lands on December 16.
Splitgate 2
The upcoming first person shooting mash up with portal movement, Splitgate 2, then arrived to reveal a new trailer complete with a fresh look at gameplay. A release date is to be announced sometime in 2025.
Virtua Fighter
Another new game reveal was then shown from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, the return of Virtua Fighter is coming and more will be revealed at the Virtua Fighter Direct which will air on the SEGA YouTube channel December 13.
Project Century
The Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio then stepped further on the gas and revealed their next title, Project Century, which uses the same gameplay expected from their earlier Yakuza (or Judgment) titles. This game is in early development, so more information should be revealed soon.
Turok Origins
The next title from publisher Saber was then revealed, a return to the Turok universe with Turok Origins. It can be wishlisted now!
Helldivers 2 – Omens of Tyranny
A special announcement then interrupted The Game Awards 2024 from Helldivers 2, revealing a new threat coming to threaten Super Earth. The newest update is now live, and fans can defend Democracy today.
The next development to the Warframe franchise is coming tomorrow, and The Game Awards 2024 rolled out the red carpet to give fans an extended look at what’s to come for the release. It arrives tomorrow on December 13, and more information can be found in the official Warframe release.
Palworld Feybreak
The team at PocketPair hasn’t slowed down since the ongoing Nintendo lawsuit, and the team has revealed a new update for their creature collecting title. Palworld Feybreak launches on December 23.
The popular mobile title, Wuthering Waves Launches for Playstation 5 in January.
A new Onimusha game was then announced at the Game Awards 2024, called Onimusha Way of the Sword, and it will arrive at some time in 2026.
The First Berserker: Khazan
A new trailer for the upcoming action title, The First Berserker: Khazan was then shown, detailing how efficient the First Berserker is at drawing blood. Fans can go on a rampage as the First Berserker when it launches March 27, 2025.
Dungeon Fighter: Arad World
The next title by Nexon Games featuring colorful anime graphics Arad Dungeon Fighter was then announced showcasing action adventure and a cast of characters that hone different weapons. More information is coming soon.
Dying Light: The Beast
A new trailer then landed for the next Techland title in the Dying Light series. Dying Light: The Beast brings more survival gameplay, and fans will have to survive until Summer 2025 to get their hands on the latest title in the series.
Squid Game Unleashed
The game based on the popular Netflix series launches on December 17 on Netflix Games.
Stage Fright
The next game coming from Ghost Town Games (the makers of Overcooked) was then announced, and it’s called Stage Fright. It’s an all new co-op adventure that can be wishlisted now from Steam.
A new Game of Thrones action adventure title was then announced, in collaboration with HBO and Warner Bros Studios, developed by Netmarble. Characters from the hit HBO series, like Jon Snow and Varys (complete with their actor likenesses) make appearances in the new entry. Fans can jump back into Westeros in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, set to land in 2025.
Arc System Works then arrived with a surprise announcement, Double Dragon is making a return in Double Dragon Revive, and it’s coming as an October 23, 2025 release.
Last of Us Part II Remastered is finally coming to PC on April 3, 2025.
2K Games then revealed the next installment of the Mafia franchise at The Game Awards 2024, showing that even in the Old Country, family matters most. Hangar 13’s next Mafia game is coming in Summer 2025.
Dispatch
A new title featuring Laura Bailey and Aaron Paul (from Breaking Bad) has been revealed at The Game Awards 2024, and it’s called Dispatch. The title is developed by former Telltale Games/Ubisoft developers at Adhoc Studios, and it can be wishlisted now. Dispatch will arrive sometime in 2025.
Okami Sequel
An Okami sequel was announced by Capcom, and game director Hideki Kamiya has returned to serve as the director once again. Production is set to begin soon.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
For the final reveal at The Game Awards 2024, a new sci-fi title was revealed by studio Naughty Dog, and its called Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The full game will feature a brand new soundtrack from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. More information will come soon regarding the new IP.
