Taking on the nightmarish Murkoff psychological prison, Red Barrels is launching The Outlast Trials Season 2.1 of Project Breach, offering new trials, cosmetics, and limited-time events.
The Outlast Trials Season 2.1 will focus on the Reagents, a key character to assist Amelia as she attempts to fight against Dr. Easterman’s experiments and his control over the Shinyala Facility. With the help of Reagents to escape the cruel experiments, players will take on two new MK Challenges and a limited-time event, alongside unlocking cosmetics to customize their characters.
The Outlast Trials is the third installment in the Outlast series, a co-op horror game for players to enjoy with friends or solo. Set in the Cold War era, the players are trapped in Murkoff’s cruel experiments, challenging their morals in a world filled with distrust, fear, and violence. To escape the Trials, players must complete tasks and utilize their surroundings to sneak or fight against the enemies, either solo or with friends.
In The Outlast Trials Season 2.1, Reagents will take on two new MK challenges based on the world’s morality and dilemmas. The challenges included are:
- Stash the Contraband – The players will need to steal and hide the drugs if they wish to be free from the trial.
- Kidnap the Mistress – The Players will need to “Identify the pervert by his tastes, kidnap his dominatrix, deliver her for interrogation, and we will let you out.”
During Amelia’s preparation, Murkoff adds additional security across the Sinyala Facility, utilizing surveillance cameras to monitor the limited-time event, Under Surveillance. During the events, the players will take on tasks to complete the trial. The tasks included are:
- Find the Schematics – Hidden in the trials, players must find the schematics to help Amelia hack the Sleep Room Terminal.
- Locate the Broadcast Television – Find the television to watch Amelia’s message before Murkoff could intercept it.
- “Help Me…” – Assist Amelia by completing key tasks as she works on something big.
For players looking to unlock cosmetics in The Outlast Trials, Season 2.1 will offer Amelia’s exclusive outfit Catalog. Players must complete Trials and unlock in-game stamps during the Under Surveillance Limited-Time event to unlock Amelia’s exclusive outfit. But to celebrate the Reagent anniversary, a special set of tasks is already available, offering exclusive rewards. Complete these tasks by April 22nd.
