While it has been confirmed that Sophie Turner is the next Lara Croft, more Prime Video Tomb Raider cast members have been revealed for the adaptation.
After a few weeks of speculation, it has now been confirmed that some cast members are indeed being cast in the live-action adaptation. Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Prime Video Tomb Raider project has confirmed that Jason Isaacs and Sigourney Weaver will star in the upcoming series adaptation. While many rumours continue to spread regarding the Prime Video series, Amazon confirms these decisions are no longer rumours. Jason Isaacs will play Atlas DeMornay and Weaver will be Evelyn Wallis, “a mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara’s talents.”

Co-Showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge said, “I am thrilled to have been able to bring some personal and fan favourites to the screen while also introducing a few new rascals of our own to the mix. This cast is beyond my wildest dreams!” Sophie Turner (who will play Lara Croft) shares the excitement, saying she has always been a fan of the series and character, stating,”She has always felt for me, very emboldened in a male-dominated world. She’s a fierce female role model!”
While the Tomb Raider franchise continues to roll out adaptations and media, Head of Amazon MGM Studios, Peter Friedlander, says the series is steeped in “bold storytelling” and “unforgettable characters,” and this next adaptation will be emboldened by its prominent cast. Below, all the casting decisions made by Prime Video so far are listed, along with the roles they will play (courtesy of Amazon).

- Martin Bobb-Semple is Zip, Lara Croft’s sidekick, tech support and friend
- Jason Isaacs is Atlas DeMornay, Lara’s uncle
- Bill Paterson is Winston, the long-standing Croft family butler
- Jack Bannon is Gerry, Lara’s personal pilot and snack collector
- John Heffernan is David, a government official who finds himself tangled up in Lara’s unusual world
- Celia Imrie is Francine, the Head of Advancement at the British Museum
- Paterson Joseph is Thomas Warner, a senior government official brought in to clean up the mess
- Sasha Luss is the character Sasha, a deeply competitive new rival of Lara Croft
- Juliette Motamed is Georgia, a devoted, by-the-books curator at the British Museum
- Sigourney Weaver is Evelyn Wallis
- August Wittgenstein is Lukas, an illegal raider who shares history with Lara
Although the new cast has been announced, Prime Video’s Tomb Raider still lacks a release timeline, so fans still have a ways to go before the famous archaeologist returns to raiding.
