A New Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remaster Is Coming Soon, Says Tyshawn Jones

Is The Legendary Series Returning?

Tyshawn Jones Reports He’s In The Upcoming Tony Hawk Remaster

While we don’t have a release date yet, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater fans have a reason to get excited once again.

Four years after the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, many fans thought that Activision would immediately follow up with 3+4, but it never came. That is until now, as fans of the series will be happy to know that the next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remaster is coming soon, as revealed by pro skater Tyshawn Jones during his interview on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club.

Near the end of the interview, Charlamagne tha God mentioned Skate. coming out soon and asked Jones if he would be in the game. Jones dismissed the idea and instead mentioned a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster, saying, “I’m in a new Tony Hawk coming out, so that’s cool. They got a new one they’re remastering, so that’s about to come out. I was in the last one.”

This is very surprising news since the last time we got official news about the game was from Tony Hawk, mentioning Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was in the work but scrapped after Vicarious Visions was merged into Blizzard. That was until September 2024, with Tony mentioning he’s in discussion with Activision again to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. With the recent news about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater coming out soon, there’s a possible chance that this ties into Tony’s news.

Although Jones did not share many details about the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster, fans of the series can rest assured that it will be released soon. Activision has not yet announced the game, so its release date remains unknown.

The last game in the series was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, a remake of the first two games for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The remake was highly successful, becoming the first in the franchise’s history to sell 1 million units.

With the next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster on the way, it is best to wait for Activision to provide more details so fans know what to expect as the franchise returns to the spotlight once again.
