Digital artists will have something to look forward to as Wacom’s newest tablet will couple performance with unparalleled freedom.

CGM sat in on a digital preview of Wacom’s new MovinkPad Pro 14, the second in the company’s new portable pad category. Senior Manager of Brand Marketing at Wacom, Megan Davis, gave a thorough breakdown of the unit, saying, “The MovinkPad Pro was designed really with the mission to empower digital creatives with a seamless mobile solution that blends professional power with true creative freedom.”

She went on to say the MovinkPad Pro 14 is a versatile creative tool that feels as natural and reliable as pencil and paper—whether used on the fly outdoors or in a professional home studio, ensuring creativity is never bound by place or circumstance. This will be supported by a suite of built-in apps like Wacom Canvas—which is an upgraded version from what’s offered in the MovinkPad 11—and Clip Studio Paint.

“Movinq Pad Pro 14 brings that natural pen on paper feel into a high-end digital art station that goes really wherever you go. You can stay in the flow, capture every spark of inspiration,” said Davis, adding, “This amazing device enables creativity that extends really beyond illustration, supporting advanced workflows and professional grade projects all on a fully mobile device.”

The MovinkPad Pro 14 is backed by some pretty impressive hardware as well. Running off an Android 15 OS, with a Qualcomm SM8635p – Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Chipset, and 12GB RAM + 256GB Flash Memory capacity. Not only that, it supports MicroSD for external storage, WiFi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3—as well as comeing built with dual microphone and stereo speakers.

Of course, there’s the MovinkPad Pro’s new screen which boasts a 14-inch OLED screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It outputs at 3K resolution (2880 x 1800px) with HDR support capable of 10-bit colour depth and a peak brightness of up to 900 nits. Furthermore, the screen has a 1ms response time allowing for seamless pen strokes—and depending on the app, can support 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate.

Backing this is the new Wacom Pro Pen 3 which is equally remarkable. The Pro Pen 3 supports up to 60 degrees of tilt for natural, angled strokes akin to traditional brush or pencil strokes; 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, and 300RPS High-tracking for accurate following of complex movments. Furthermore, the MovinkPad Pro is compatible with a wide array of third-party stylus using Wacom’s EMR technology.

The MovinkPad Pro 14 will launch on Oct 1st, 2025 and retail at the base price of $899.95.
