Xbox Reveals Tokyo Game Show 2022 Plans & Huge Showcase For Thursday

Xbox Japan posted a Tweet earlier today regarding their plans for the Tokyo Game Show 2022, which outlines when the start time of the presentation will be.

With the Tokyo Game Show 2022 literally right around the corner, Xbox has decided to announce their participation via its Japan Twitter just in time for the show. The Tweet, with a small speech on what to expect out of the company by CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer can be seen below.

Spencer states:

It’s an honor for Xbox to be back at the Tokyo Game Show this year and celebrate with our fans tuning in from Japan, across Asia and around the world. Japan is a creative powerhouse that has brought to life iconic characters and franchises played by millions of people worldwide.

The Xbox stream at Tokyo Game Show 2022 will celebrate the vibrant players and visionary creators across the region. You’ll see some upcoming Microsoft first-party and third-party games that I hope will delight players here in Japan and across the world.”

We’re excited for what the future holds as we continue our mission to bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet.

– Phil Spencer, Xbox

Xbox’s appearance at last year’s Tokyo Game Show 2021 was a solid information dump for gamers, featuring their new IP with Bethesda Starfield, as well as many indie titles, and topping it off with Xbox Game Pass additions.

This of course comes after the Nintendo Direct, and PlayStation State of Play that landed just yesterday. The Tokyo Game Show 2022 is an annual event that celebrates gaming and developers with the chance to showcase new titles or upcoming improvements on a grander stage, and will feature hundreds of exhibitors. Xbox was terribly vague ahead of their presentation on Thursday, so fans will just have to tune in to the live stream on September 15 at 5 a.m. EST to stay informed.

Fans can also find more information regarding the Tokyo Game Show 2022 on their website, as it only runs from September 15 until September 18 this week.
