Every month, Xbox Game Pass ups its offerings to provide gamers with new gameplay experiences, and this month, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the headliner.
It’s that time of month again. The time when Xbox Game Pass adds nine new titles to the service and removes a few others to make room is here, and Xbox has rolled out the red carpet for Ubisoft royalty in August 2025. Fans have come to expect Game Pass updates in groups of two each month recently, as new releases drop onto the service typically twice each month since this year.
Last month, Xbox Game Pass gave fans early access to Obsidian’s sequel to a backyard survival adventure title, Grounded 2, alongside Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Last month, Xbox cleared space by removing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess from its catalogue, and in August 2025, it will take the fan-favourite title, Persona 3 Reload, off the service.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage headlines the nine new additions coming to Xbox Game Pass. CGMagazine’s review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage calls it “a fantastic return to form for the series,” adding that the developers’ idea of mixing gameplay with “more modern sensibilities” has brought the series back on the right track. Fans will have a chance to play Mirage at no extra cost with a Game Pass subscription this month. The additions to Game Pass are listed below, along with their release dates on the platform.

Xbox Game Pass is removing three titles from its service on August 15 to make up for the additions. Fans should make a note, as after they’re gone, there will be no word on when these titles will return to the service, so fans should finish up Persona 3 Reload if they’re closing in on the ending. The following titles will be removed on August 15:
- Anthem (Console and PC) EA Play
- Farming Simulator 22 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Persona 3 Reload (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Fans have just 10 days remaining until Anthem, Farming Simulator 22 and Persona 3 Reload are taken off the service, so unless fans want to pay extra to continue playing these titles, they should finish up before the 15th.
