On Tuesday, after more than a year’s hiatus, Yellowjackets Season 3 has been given a fresh teaser complete with a release date on Valentine’s Day.
The television version of a survival horror, Yellowjackets, has not released a new episode in more than a year. But today, a new teaser has given fans a release date for the upcoming Yellowjackets Season 3. The incredibly violent—and incredibly bite-sized—teaser can be seen below, showing that the series has a sense of humour regarding the Valentine’s Day release date.
Yellowjackets is about a group of talented high school girls soccer players that revert to a more primal state after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. The series takes place 25 years after the fact, and the surviving members have to contend with what the wilderness throws at them. The series flashes forward and backward, detailing the events and how they unfolded in those 25 years and what happened afterwards.
Yellowjackets Season 3 will premiere with a two-episode run on February 14, 2025 (Valentine’s Day) on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers (specifically with the Paramount+ with Showtime subscription). The season three debut will air on Showtime on February 16. According to Paramount+, Season 3 will have a 10-episode run.
It has been announced that Hilary Swank and Joel McHale will be joining the cast for the third season of Yellowjackets adding to the star-studded talent featured in the first two seasons. Yellowjackets stars Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Simone Kessell, Warren Kole and Sarah Desjardins, with Elijah Wood returning as a recurring character in the future versions of the cast. The younger cast is made up of Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Kevin Alves and Steven Krueger.
Yellowjackets Season 3 will air on February 14, 2025 on Paramount+.
