On Friday, HoYoverse announced that their latest title, Zenless Zone Zero, will be receiving PS5 Pro ray-tracing functionality with the introduction of Version 1.4.
On the same day that HoYoverse has decided to pull back the curtain on the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4 update information, HoYoverse stacked the announcement with the arrival of PS5 Pro ray-tracing functionality which will be coming to the city of New Eridu at the same time. The Version 1.4 update and ray-tracing functionality will land on the title on December 18. HoYoverse has also provided fans with a special program (which they’ve been known to do for all of their titles) to relay all the updates coming to New Eridu, which can be seen below.
In Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4, the TV mode in the main story will be expanded, featuring more immersive combat and exploration options. The update introduces the highly anticipated Section 6 agents, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, as new characters for players to recruit. It will also include a new combat gameplay mode, Hollow Zero: Shadows Lost, along with the addition of new areas, Port Elpis and Reverb Arena. Notably, Proxies can obtain the S-rank character Asaba Harumasa for free after the update.
In case fans have missed it, Zenless Zone Zero has recently decided to give away some of its premium currency for fans to use in-game in celebration of HoYoverse’s big presence at the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Awards, and fans can claim these rewards in all HoYoverse titles without any strings attached. Proxies can obtain an extra 800 Polychromes by just logging into Zenless Zone Zero and claiming the free funds, and it can be used to attempt Signal Searching for the new Section 6 agents introduced in Version 1.4.
Fans can look forward to the Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4 launch on December 18, and while there’s currently no ‘due date’ for the extra Polychrome redemption giveaway, players should claim them as soon as possible to avoid missing the freebie.
