Anda Seat Kaiser 3E XL Gaming Chair

The Anda Seat Kaiser 3E XL Gaming Chair, part of the Kaiser 3 premium gaming chair series, offers many of the comforts and features the Kaiser 3 line is known for, in a more budget-conscious format. Available in booth linen fabric, a breathable, soft material, and PVC leather for a smooth, easy-to-clean finish, the Kaiser 3E XL offers decent adjustability in both its seat and armrests while maintaining a firm and sturdy structure, making it an affordable gaming chair option.

In many ways, the Kaiser 3E XL resembles its Pro version, the Anda Seat Kaiser 3 Pro. First reviewed in February 2025, I was impressed by the overall build quality and the level of detail in the design. This latest iteration (I received the ash grey linen for review) offers many of the same basic design decisions, which is to its credit.

Assembly is what you would expect from a gaming chair, with the process taking about 30 minutes for a single person. While the assembly is straightforward, I did struggle to align the back of the chair with the seat, as even with slide-in guides, the threaded holes were a bit difficult to align. I noted a similar issue with the Kaiser 3 Pro when assembling that chair.

It’s not that the brackets won’t line up; it’s simply that once three of the bolts are set, the fourth one requires additional force to keep aligned long enough to insert the final bolt. It causes a bit of frustration when installing, but after a few moments of fiddling, I managed to continue the assembly. The rest was straightforward and took very little time to put together.

As an XL chair, the 3E’s base cushion is plenty wide, measuring 52x54cm with a comfortable 11cm thickness. This translates into a comfortable seating experience even for the taller and larger gamers. The seat itself is comprised of a cold-cure foam, which is surprisingly springy while still maintaining a firm shape, an iconic element of gaming chairs. When compared to the few other gaming chairs in the office, I find the 3E to be a softer chair to sit in.

“The back of the Anda Seat Kaiser 3E XL is similar in design to the Pro, offering a comfortable user experience with a natural curve that fits my frame nicely.”

This is not to say it isn’t supportive. On the contrary, the seat, specifically, thanks to its wider dimensions and aforementioned cold-cure foam, feels plenty sturdy when sat on. This is further bolstered by the heavy iron and aluminum wheelbase, which provides a sturdy base for the chair and, when assembled, ensures that the chair feels solid. The five 56mm PU-coated casters provide a smooth gliding experience on both hardwood and carpet, and thus far have not left any scuff marks on the former.

The back of the Anda Seat Kaiser 3E XL is similar in design to the Pro, offering a comfortable user experience with a natural curve that fits my frame nicely. The notable difference between the two is that while the Pro has an adjustable lumbar system, the 3E simply has a built-in, preset lumbar curve. Thankfully, it works well for my build, but it lacks the adjustability afforded by the pro version of the Kaiser 3.

That being said, the Kasier 3E does still offer the impressive 155° recline and 15° rocking tilt, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed in the Kasier 3 Pro. It’s comfortable to use and allows for those quick power naps during late-night gaming or work sessions. The controls for each system are located on the underside of the seat and utilize a paddle system to operate. It’s straightforward and functional.

Another notable difference is that while the Kaiser 3E XL supports the magnetic head pillow, a standout feature of the 3 Pro, it doesn’t actually come with one. As such, you’ll need to shell out an additional $69.99 for it. While not necessary, it does seem odd to remove an element that is fairly standard on gaming chairs in this price range, especially when the magnetic pillow design is such a smart and standout innovation.

The Kaiser 3E has also opted for a 4D armrest system instead of the Pro’s 5D solution. For clarity, the 4D system allows for four areas of adjustment within the armrest: up/down, left/right, forward/back and inward/outward. It works well, feels sturdy and easily accommodates my desk setup, allowing me to tuck in close to the desk and type for hours without issue.

The Anda Seat Kaiser 3E is a solid addition to the Kaiser 3 lineup, offering a more affordable solution for those looking for a sturdy and comfortable gaming chair. While it lacks a few of the flourishes of the Kaiser 3 Pro (seriously, why not include the pillow?), the 3E is still incredibly sturdy, comfortable and offers enough adjustability to accommodate a wide range of gamers.
