There are so many different and unique gaming chairs that are available on the market. As an elder millennial, I need comfort more than anything else, and thankfully the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair gives me that and so much more, and for this review I had a chance to look at the XL model. For most, it’s a constant struggle to figure out what one is the right fit, while some others would just jump for whatever their favourite streamer or creator uses. I will always choose ergonomics and support over anything else, so once I saw all of the features that this gaming chair had, I knew this would be something special.
The DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair is truly unique and something that I would not typically go after. Right off the bat, this series of the DXRacer gaming chairs is up there in price, as this starts off at $899 USD and is already quite expensive for the average consumer. So why would anyone want to buy this? One of the perks of purchasing a premium product like this gaming chair is quite simply the top of the line features it offers.
This is an electric powered chair that comes with a lithium ion battery that doesn’t need to be plugged in all the time. With this, you’re able to use some pretty amazing functions like electric backrest, magnetic adjustable armrests, with the adjustment toggle, heating and cooling of the seat, an adjustable footrest as well as a fully integrated back massager to sweeten up the deal.
As the early pioneers of the gaming chair I wasn’t at all surprised that they brought their A-game for the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair. As this is their first iteration of an electric gaming chair I am impressed with what they did. The 5000mAh battery holds its charge for up to 360 hours, all depending on how much you are using the adjustable back rest and other features, but I did get on average almost 2 weeks charge which is truly perfect for people like myself who often forget to charge devices.

One drawback of this is that the charger that the chair comes with is very short in length, at roughly 1.5m or so, which can cause a bit of a disturbance for your desk setup in accordance with where the closest available power outlet is. There was a time that I forgot to put the chair to charge overnight after the battery was completely depleted and next morning spun the chair around and almost unplugged the charger from the wall. Sure I could have more spatial awareness, but for a premium product like this, that does need to be charged, I would have loved a longer charger.
My favourite feature was the electric adjustable backrest and 4D lumber support. The back of the chair can move anywhere from 90 degrees when you’re doing your desk job, 110 degrees when it’s time to game and finally to 135 degrees for when you want to take a break in between meetings or gaming sessions. Because it is electric, the movement of the chair is slow, very similar to that of what you would find in any modern car that has electric seats. The 4D lumber support is simply fantastic and can be adjusted to multiple positions with just the touch of a button. This function I was using almost daily.
The dual built in airbags work perfectly to provide dynamic and targeted support for both upper and lower back areas. Lastly, the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair also comes with a multifunctional back massager. This was the most unexpected feature for this chair but it works pretty well. It uses a precise 8 point array targeting system with 6 scientific vibration modes all controlled by one button. I used this feature almost every day because it was just a very nice feature that I still think is very unnecessary in a gaming chair.

Another great thing about the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair is the seat ventilation and seat heating system. System that can be activated by two buttons on the side of the chair. The ventilation system works by using a unique honeycomb airflow layer along with its very powerful vortex fan. This system allows for a fully ventilated seat that will keep you continuously dry and comfortable. On the opposite side of cooling, The DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair has 3 adjustable levels to suit your comfort level. One thing that was surprising is that once you activate the heating button, within 2 seconds the chair is heated up and ready to go.
There isn’t one bad thing I can say about the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair. I use the Razer Iskur V2 X Gaming Chair as my day to day chair for when I’m gaming as well as during the work day. Though the DXRacer has a lot of really great bells and whistles, the overall comfort and affordability of the Razer Iskur V2 X still wins the battle for me overall.
With that being said, as a stand alone chair, the DXRacer Martian Series Gaming Chair is simply amazing. If you’re up to spending $899 on a luxury high end gaming chair that will not only keep you cool in those heated gaming matches but massage your back in between meetings I can confidently say that this is the gaming chair for you.
