The GameSir T7 Pro Floral Wired Xbox Controller is the latest gaming controller in GameSir’s long lineup of peripherals. Designed as a versatile Xbox-centric controller, the T7 Pro is compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11. Sporting a beautiful, RGB-illuminated faceplate, durable hardware components and a comfortable, familiar design, the GameSir T7 Pro aims to provide a budget-friendly, wired controller experience.
Opening the T7 Pro Floral’s packaging immediately reveals a striking and beautiful faceplate. The most notable aesthetic design choice of the T7 Pro is the floral design, which is printed on a translucent, plastic faceplate that allows light to pass through. When illuminated, the floral pattern becomes heavily accented, providing a pleasing visual. It’s a small but unique design choice that adds character and style to the otherwise functional but bland colour palette typically assigned to controllers.

On the note of RGB, while the site notes that there is RGB lighting included, as of the time of writing, I’ve not seen any option to change the colours of the RGB lights. In the official software, GameSir Nexus, while lighting options exist, brightness and auto-off lighting controls are all that are currently available. However, it should be noted that there are plans for animation support coming soon via the aforementioned GameSir Nexus software.
Continuing the examination of the T7 Pro, the size and proportions feel similar to the official Xbox Series X|S controller. While much lighter (217g) due to the lack of battery, holding the GameSir T7 Pro feels quite familiar for those accustomed to the Xbox controller experience, with one small addition: the inclusion of two additional, programmable buttons located under each grip.
Placed inline with the natural resting space for your middle fingers, the programmable buttons sit perfectly aligned for easy engagement with said fingers. Programming the buttons can be handled both on a hardware and software level. The former requires a few-step process of leveraging the onboard memory button and a series of buttons. It’s functional and reduces the need for software.

However, leveraging the GameSir Nexus software simplifies the process immensely. Simply navigate to the buttons tab, select the desired programmable button, which pulls up a context menu revealing all possible buttons that can be assigned and select it. The setting auto-saves, so there’s no need to wait for updates or saves. It’s simple and slick.

It should also be noted that while the two aforementioned buttons are highlighted as the programmable buttons, GameSir has designed the T7 Pro to allow for full customization of each button and trigger. Following the same process as mentioned above, each button is fully programmable, allowing for easy configuration to best suit the player’s needs. With four profiles to customize and choose from, the T7 Pro is quite adaptable.
Speaking of the GameSir Nexus software, the whole user experience is exceptional. Every feature and setting is readily available with the software, providing an impressive amount of customization for everything from deadzone programming to vibration control. Aside from the lack of RGB colour selection, the GameSir Nexus provides robust control over the settings and features of the T7 Pro.

GameSir, like many modern controller developers, has opted for Hall Effect Sticks, providing a smooth operation and longevity. Having tested several controllers that include such tech, I’ve been happy with the overall experience using them. As for ABXY, membrane switches have been included, providing a quiet and responsive accusation.
The triggers provide both Hair Trigger and normal mode, with an option to engage Hair Trigger in an adaptive mode, providing a customized user experience. Both the bumpers and triggers offer a textured surface that feels comfortable to use. On the note of textured surfaces, the grips provide a similar feel when in hand, which I find quite comfortable to use.

Finally, a 3.5mm headphone jack has also been included in the T7 Pro’s design, allowing users to leverage their existing wired Xbox headsets. While there isn’t a dedicated button for volume management, GameSir has programmed a hardware solution for said control. Simply holding the memory button while using the D-Pad provides control for both overall volume (up and down) and game-to-chat volume control (left and right). It’s a simple solution that helps reduce the number of buttons cramped onto the controller while also providing a needed functionality.

In testing, the T7 Pro performed well, providing solid feedback and response. With full rumble feedback, the T7 Pro even allows for customization of not only the intensity of the motor vibration but also the selection between which sets of motors you would like to use. Once again, all managed via GameSir Nexus. Using the T7 Pro for everything from shooters to RPGs was a delight. It’s accurate and provides the level of accuracy I would expect from an Xbox controller.
Versatility is another design element that I appreciate about the T7 Pro. While there is an array of customization that can be managed on the controller, out of the box, the T7 Pro is ready for both Xbox and PC. It’s a plug-and-play experience that requires no additional work to get up and running. Even without the software, the T7 Pro will work as you would expect an Xbox controller to work in both environments. The simplicity of design and ease of use are both wins in my book.
