Logitech Zone Vibe 100 Wireless Headset

The never-ending battle to find a decent pair of Bluetooth headphones that are able to mix comfort, style, and battery life may have finally met its match.  The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 is a contender for one of the best headsets, and aside from a few minor issues, coming in at just over a hundred dollars, you couldn’t ask for a better headset.

The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 is incredibly lightweight, coming in at just under half a pound. While this helps with its comfort, it does put forward this sense of durability issues. The headset itself feels flimsy at times, so I would say don’t go throwing them around. The headband itself has a layer of fabric over it with just enough padding that the band adds to the comfort.

The microphone quality I have found with the lower budget headsets is where most companies tend to cut costs and the same is true for the Logitech Zone Vibe 100. There is ultimately just this tin-like sound quality to anyone using the microphone, but since the headset uses the tuck and forget functionality with its microphone being able to be tucked into the headset to effectively mute it, it’s easy to overlook. When the microphone is tucked into the headset, it also serves as muting the microphone, but with no button press mute on the physical headset, it does feel like it is missing some basic functionality.

“The Logitech Zone Vibe 100’s best quality by far is its incredible battery life.”

Sound quality wise, the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 is very good for a hundred dollars. There is a richness to the sound that sings for spoken word. That’s not to say it isn’t performing well for music and games: I am obsessed with these headphones for when I am listening to my high school heavy metal playlist on Spotify because it sounds excellent.

The Logitech Zone Vibe 100’s best quality by far is its incredible battery life. I managed to get roughly eighteen hours out of a single charge. That’s insane. That’s me putting it through the wringer of testing out all the features, having the microphone on for a few hours, pairing and unpairing, messing around with the buttons, and everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if I could squeeze an extra hour out of a charge.

The even more impressive part is that it doesn’t take hours to charge. I fully charged it within roughly an hour, so if you need to quickly charge it on the go, this is your headset. Besides the fact that it did not come with a charging cable, granted that USB-C cables are everywhere, you still need to include the charger in the box.

“A few features are missing for me that hold the Logitech Zone Vibe 100s from being number one.”

With all of these excellent features and a price point that is on the more affordable side, it’s easy to see why Logitech is still one of the most well-known names in the tech accessory field. I am shaken by just how comfortable these headphones are. Mixing in with the ease of connection, it’s as simple as holding the power on button to put them into pairing mode and selecting the device on whichever you want them to pair to. I paired to my PC and phone and was able to use them both to be able to pump audio through to the headset.

A few features are missing for me that hold the Logitech Zone Vibe 100s from being number one. Functionality leaves a lot to be desired, and with a simple volume up and down button, that’s all you’re going to get on these headsets. Some in-app functionality would have been nice to offset things like EQ and balance. But again, for the price point, a bare-bones experience is OK, especially for the incredible comfort and battery life.

Overall, the Logitech Zone Vibe 100s are a great headset for the price point. In fact, it’s better than a lot of headsets you’ll find at a higher price point. The comfort brought to the table with its cushioned noise-cancelling earphones and battery life that rivals the best, it’s incredible Logitech was able to get it to this price point. This headset is easily a favourite in my household. My wife asked to borrow them, and she refuses to give them back now.
