The NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2024) has arrived, and it brings some major changes to the tried and true formula. This updated version of the popular H7 Flow case offers a sleek design, improved airflow, and some clever new features that set it apart from its predecessor and the competition. For people who love customization and flexibility, the new NZXT H7 Flow RGB delivers where it matters most, and it is a joy to build a PC with.
When we unboxed the H7 Flow RGB after Computex 2024, the first thing we noticed was its redesigned front panel. Gone is the cheese grater-like appearance of the 2022 model, replaced by a more refined mesh design that still prioritizes airflow but gives the overall more modern feel. The iconic NZXT design features manage to make a return at the bottom of the front panel, giving the case a distinctive look that fans of the brand will appreciate and that will look fantastic once everything is put together.

As mentioned above, while there are some drastic changes for the 2024 model compared to the last H7 iterations, the H7 Flow RGB retains its clean, minimalist aesthetic and is available in both black and white colour options. The tempered glass side panel offers a fantastic view of your components, perfect for showing off your RGB-lit build and giving a clear view of everything you have inside the PC. Speaking of RGB, this version of the case comes with NZXT’s new F360 RGB Core fans, which look stunning, but we’ll get to those later.
One of the big things NZXT discussed during Computex 2024 about the 2024 H7 Flow RGB was the relocation of the PSU, and it is indeed a big change if you have used an NZXT case in the past. Instead of the traditional bottom-mounted PSU with a cover, NZXT has opted for a side-mounted design behind the motherboard tray. This clever layout change opens up space for additional fans at the bottom of the case, potentially improving GPU cooling and making the overall layout feel much more open when viewed from the side.
The H7 Flow RGB is a relatively large mid-tower case that supports a range of motherboard sizes, from mini-ITX to E-ATX, making it versatile enough for most builds. GPU clearance is generous at 16.4 inches, accommodating even the beefiest graphics cards on the market. Storage options are plentiful, with room for two 2.5-inch SSDs and two 3.5-inch hard drives. This configuration allows you to have a mix of fast boot drives and high-capacity storage without sacrificing one for the other.

Looking at the top of the case, the front I/O panel offers the standard array of points: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a headset combo jack. It’s a solid selection that covers most users’ needs, though some might miss having a dedicated microphone jack. I will say, for a case this tall, I would have loved to see what MSI did for their MAG PANO M100R PZ case and have the front I/O at the bottom to make it easier for people who have their PC on the desk, but this is a minor nit-pick on an otherwise solid design.
As mentioned above, the 2024 H7 Flow RGB comes with NZXT’s new F360 RGB Core fans. These are essentially three 120mm fans combined into a single frame, offering a clean, unified look and simplified cable management. The RGB lighting on these fans adds a touch of customizable flair to your build. While it sounds like a no-brainer in theory, it’s a fantastic addition to the build and helps to make what can be a tedious process of getting everything connected as needed into a simple and quick procedure. Well done NZXT, my fingers and lack of cuts thank you.
The H7 Flow RGB now supports up to 10 fans in total, a significant increase from the previous model. This includes three 120mm or 140mm fans at the front, three 120mm fans at the top, three 120mm fans at the bottom, and one 120mm fan at the rear. For liquid cooling enthusiasts, the case can accommodate radiators up to 360mm at the front and top, with clearance for even the most ostentatious of blocks.

When compared to other mid-tower cases in its price range, the NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2024) holds its own. Its thermal performance is impressive, with our testing showing it to be among the top performers in CPU cooling. GPU temperatures are also competitive, thanks in part to the potential for bottom-mounted fans. But what makes it so impressive is how quiet it all is, even with everything running. I was shocked at how well H7 Flow RGB manages noise while keeping everything cool, something that is a must for anyone ever considering overclocking.
While I love the look, the thing I love most about the H7 Flow RGB is how easy it is to install. The dual-chamber cases I’ve built recently have spoiled me for standard mid-tower designs, but somehow, NZXT has managed to find a balance between the two, and I love it. The spacious interior, well-placed cable management cut-outs and removable panels make setting up a system a breeze. The side-mounted PSU may be unfamiliar to some builders, but it actually simplifies cable management by keeping power cables out of sight.

At a retail price of $149.99, the NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2024) represents a thoughtful evolution of an already popular case design. Its improved airflow, clever PSU placement, and inclusion of RGB fans make it an attractive option for both aesthetics-focused builders and performance enthusiasts. Even with the test build we did for this review, I could not be happier with what the case offers, and I commend NZXT on a truly fantastic refresh.

Although it is a little more expensive than the competition, the overall package is compelling, and the design is second to none. The ease of build, excellent thermal performance and versatile fan and radiator support options make the H7 Flow RGB a strong contender in the mid-tower market, and one of my favourite cases of 2024.
For those looking to upgrade their current setup or start a new build, the NZXT H7 Flow RGB (2024) offers a blend of style, functionality, and performance that’s hard to beat. It’s a case that not only looks good but also provides the airflow and features necessary to keep your high-performance components running cool and quiet. It’s easily one of the best-case upgrades we’ve seen at CGM.
