In response to the growing disproval of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg addressed fans and investors in a hopeful statement.

In celebration of national Star Wars day, Warner Brothers aims to expand the canon Star Wars universe. Well, mostly canon.
On top of playing through the scenes featured in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, players will be treated to several additional adventures that “go beyond the film to experience exclusive all-new stories,” expand the existing Star Wars universe.
These new adventures will answer many lingering questions the movie left unanswered, such as how Han Solo and Chewbacca came upon the voracious rathtar creatures and the story behind C-3PO’s red arm. Additionally, the game will include all-new dialogue from The Force Awakens cast.
The full list of “New Adventures” featured in the game are as follows:
- Rathtar Hunting
- Lor San Tekka’s Return
- Poe To The Rescue
- Crimson Corsair
- Trouble Over Taul
- Ottegan Assault
In 2014, Disney declared the official Star Wars canon consists of the seven released Star Wars theatrical films, the Star Wars animated movie and the two television series. All other expanded material was removed from canon. However, most Star Wars-related media released after April 25, 2014 received the Disney stamp of approval, thus granting canonicity.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will answer several notable questions and patch up some holes present in The Force Awakens. However, I’d say it’s mostly canon – the actual stories may be factual in the Star Wars universe, but maybe take the dancing Stormtroopers and Chewbacca’s “Wookie Cookies” with a grain of salt.
The game is getting the deluxe treatment too, including an exclusive Finn Lego Minifigure, the game’s season pass and early access to The Empire Strikes Back Character Pack. The deluxe edition is exclusive to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is launching June 28 on most consoles, including previous-generation consoles.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has officially been revealed with a new trailer to wet gamers’ appetites for the next entry into the franchise. The game is developed by Infinity Ward and will be published by Activision.
Gears of War 4’s debut story trailer, “Tomorrow”, channels the darkness and intense tone that players felt of the original GoW: Mad World trailer in 2006.
Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after the conclusion of GoW3 and places players in control of Marcus Fenix’s son JD. The trailer shows that the world after the events of the third game became peaceful for some time, but during JD’s growth into adolescence it’s clear that the tomorrow his father dreamed of is now plunged back into destruction and darkness. Now every battle is a fight for survival as JD runs away from the locust herd.
Gears of War 4 is scheduled for release on Oct. 11 for Xbox One as the first chapter in a new saga of games. For players itching to get into the action, a closed multiplayer beta will start April 18 for those who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on either Xbox One or Windows 10. The beta will be open to all Xbox Live Gold members the following week on April 24 and will be able to be played till May 1.
The first look at the sequel to award-winning Titanfall has been released.
