AVerMedia Live Streamer Mic 350

Avermedia Live Streamer Mic 350 Review

Score: 8/10

AVerMedia has put its hands into a lot of different types of gear, mainly aimed towards the content creator. Perhaps best known for their capture cards, they have, on occasion, delved into the webcam and microphone market from time to time. Their most recently released microphone, the AVerMedia Live Streamer Mic 350, is a pretty big leap from their earliest days, with spectacular design and the promise of big sound.

The AVerMedia Live Streamer Mic 350 is a collaboration with Dirac, a company dedicated to optimizing audio for all sorts of devices, from car stereos to surround sound systems and everything in between. The collaboration was not in vain, for the out-of-the-box sound quality is quite good. You get the usual room noise attributed simply to being a condenser microphone. The better the sound treatment in your room and the fewer things making noise in said room, the clearer the audio will be, but AVerMedia has prepared an impressive solution to this problem and gives you a lot more with the AVerMedia Vibeengine.

The AVerMedia Live Streamer Mic 350 is a good microphone made great by its software. Its all-metal design is sturdy and sleek, with function added to its fashion. The mic’s audio quality is more than competent, and its only real drawback is the consumer base who will pay the price in a saturated market. If you take the time to see their great leaps in both microphone hardware and software capabilities, you’ll see that AVerMedia is a proper contender in this space now and in the future.

The AVerMedia Live Streamer Mic is a good microphone that I fear could be lost in the sea of good microphones available right now. They’ve made a serious effort to deliver a quality line of mics that stretch beyond what they’ve done before, and that is the case with this mic. Add to that the best software I have seen the company offer, and you have something worthy of your attention.

Syntech GlowMic Microphone

Best Microphones 2025

Score: 9/10

Since 2017, Syntech has been making a name for itself with accessories for creators. Lately, they’ve been making gear for content creators. Their latest release is an RGB condenser microphone, their first streaming microphone offering, the Syntech GlowMic, and offers a lot at an affordable price.

At first listen, the sound was decent. There was the expected amount of room noise, given the fact that this is a condenser mic, but it did a great job of capturing the low frequencies. It left a little to be desired in the higher frequencies, but that can be easily fixed with the least amount of processing. Make sure you set the gain correctly and keep your distance from the mic, otherwise you will get some clipping and you will hear some hissing. The pop filter does its job on plosives, but that’s about it.

The Syntech GlowMic was an amazing surprise. It’s a mic that produces an admirable sound with brilliant noise reduction at a price that’s on par with mics that don’t even have a knob. It is available for purchase now, so if you are looking for a microphone and are on a budget, this is definitely worth your time.

Offering more than just good looks, the GlowMic’s impressive functionality and affordability make it a game-changer in the world of content creation microphones.

Razer Seiren V3 Chroma Microphone

Razer Seiren V3 Chroma Microphone Review

Score: 9/10

The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma is a supercardioid condenser microphone with on-board controls and 10-zone RGB. In the box, you get the Seiren V3 Chroma with an attached mount for either the provided base or a mic arm, a 6ft braided USB-C to USB-A cable and the documentation. The packaging, Razer’s signature green and black, is really appealing and the little ribbon loop makes getting the internal box out of the main packaging so much easier.

The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma can be plug-and-play and ready for use on any application you use, be it OBS, Discord, Audacity, or wherever else you may need a microphone. The real treat, however, is when you connect Razer’s software, Razer Synapse. From there, you get a lot of control over your microphone and your stream.

The price of the Razer Seiren V3 Chroma was honestly a shock, given its feature-set. This microphone retails at $129.99 USD, which is definitely at the low end of the price spectrum for a microphone with this look, this many on-board functions and one of the most feature-rich software solutions in the market. The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma comes very close to being a must-buy for streamers. It has most everything you are looking for in a microphone at a fantastic price.

The Seiren V3 Chroma is my new favourite microphone on offer from Razer and its release shows us that the company is very much in the microphone game to stay.

Shure MV6 Gaming Microphone

Shure Mv6 Gaming Microphone Review

Score: 9/10

Since the beginning of the evolution of podcasting and streaming, one brand of microphone has been at the top of peoples’ list of “the mic that you have to get,” and that’s Shure. The Shure SM7B was considered the standard of high-end microphones for content creators despite the hefty price point. You’d see their mics on top podcasts and zero-view streams alike, but some people, such as myself, have told creators to hold off on getting that microphone because, while high quality, it was something you could grow into later as revenue and commitment to creating made it more reasonable.

The desktop stand on the Shure MV6 is nice and heavy with a wide base, but I find that the rubber footing along the edge of the bottom of the base doesn’t have the grip that some other stands have. I’m not saying it will slide around with a bump of the table, but it will if you bump the mic itself. It also doesn’t stand as tall as I would like it to, ultimately. If this is something you are going to use on a desk, it’s going to be closer to your fingers on the keyboard than your mouth in most situations, and that will be harder to clean up with VSTs.

While I always recommend getting your microphone off of your desk and close to your mouth, especially with dynamic mics such as this, the Shure MV6 Gaming Microphone was surprisingly good at making you sound good, even at a distance. It’s perhaps the best-sounding mic I have tested from the desktop. I tested it on OBS Studio and thought that I had left noise reduction filters on when the MV6 was on the desk in front of me.

The Shure MV6 Gaming Microphone is arguably the simplest microphone that still has a high-end sound quality while costing a fraction of the company’s other iconic microphones. It’s good on the desk and better up close and is quite possibly the only fool-proof microphone.
