The end of times never looked so appealing as Warhammer: Vermintide 2 has sold over 1 million units in five weeks since its launch.
Developer Fatshark announced the news on their official website, along with an infographic detailing some accomplishments that players have achieved so far.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person melee-focused action game set during the apocalyptic End Times of the Warhammer world. Vermintide 2 is the sequel to 2015’s Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide and it introduces the dark, a new Chaos Faction, 15 hero careers, new environments, talent trees and the proprietary Heroic Deeds System.
The CEO of Fatshark Martin Wahlund says that “We are genuinely humbled by the reception of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 from gamers all over the world. We reached half a million units within the first week, and one million within five weeks, which is far quicker than we ever expected.”

Since its launch Warhammer: Vermintide 2 received a high amount of acclaim and currently sits at a score of 81 on review aggregate site Metacritic. Fatshark also announced that the upcoming XBox One and PlayStation 4 versions of will have betas at some point in the spring, with more information being announced soon.
