A Quiet Place Game is in Development, Releasing in 2022

A new horror adventure game based on the John Krasinski-directed film franchise, A Quiet Place, has been announced for 2022.

The game was announced via press release which revealed the game will be a single-player, story-driven horror adventure set to take place in the movie’s universe. The game’s story has been described as an “untold story of survival in the A Quiet Place universe” that will “capture the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous”. There is no mention of the inclusion of the Abbott family (John Krasinski and Emily Blunt) which hints they may not play a major role in the game.

A Quiet Place is being developed by Montreal-based studio, iLLOGIKA, which is described as being made up of veteran talent who have worked on the Rainbow Six and Far Cry series. Publishing of the game is being handled by Saber Interactive who know a thing or two about film licensed games. The publisher has recently released licensed games like 2019’s World War Z and Ghostbusters The Game Remastered plus the upcoming Evil Dead game is releasing in the same year as A Quiet Place in 2022.

Nothing much else is known about the game as the specific details are ironically quiet even the game’s website doesn’t reveal too much. As far as speculation goes, Saber Interactive could approach the licensed game similarly to Alien: Isolation. In the place of a Xenomorph, the film’s aliens could hunt players down through sound as players try to stay quiet as possible while trying to ensnare them in a trap to escape from them or possibly kill them.

A Quiet Place is set to release sometime in 2022, platforms haven’t officially been confirmed but who knows maybe we’ll learn more and get an actual look at the game during The Game Awards in December.
