Every year massive games are produced, and every year the best games get honours at the annual Game Awards. This is when fans can look forward to watching the event.

Since 2014, The Game Awards show has had an annual showing that details the best the gaming world has to offer for the year. Each annual show gets bigger, as new game announcements take place as well as musical performances by known acts aside from the announcement of the awards. In a true celebration of video game culture, renowned game developers and figures such as Hideo Kojima, Yves Guillemot, Marc Merrill, and many more take centre stage.

The creator and Executive Producer of The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, stated “We are very excited to return to the Microsoft Theatre for a special night to celebrate the past, present, and future of video games,” including “Our goal is to bring the entire community together to celebrate the most powerful form of entertainment in the world, and recognize emerging voices that represent the future of the medium.”

This event is a must-see for gaming fans all over the globe as The New York Times calls it “the Oscars for the gaming world.” The health protocols for the invite-only event held at the Microsoft Theatre will be announced over the next few weeks, as well as the details surrounding how fans can stream the event from the comfort of their home.
