Dungeon Crawling and Rolling Dice in the Forgotten Realms With Baldur's Gate 3 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 is launching tomorrow with NVIDIA GeForce enhancements DLSS 2 and DLAA, while additional titles also get the same treatment this month.

After nearly three years since its original announcement, Baldur’s Gate 3, the highly-anticipated, next-generation RPG set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, is set to be launched tomorrow, August 3rd, 2023, on PC with NVIDIA technology ramping up the experience to it’s best possible standards. This announcement comes via NVIDIA, who also plan to release updates for additional games this month in order to increase frame rates and add ray tracing integrations across several titles.

GeForce RTX users planning to jump into the action offered through Baldur’s Gate 3 can max out graphical quality with NVIDIA’s DLAA, or crank up the frame rates available with NVIDIA DLSS 2. This will allow anyone using that technology while playing through Baldur’s Gate 3 to get an even better experience than run-of-the-mill PC gamers will get to experience. GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers will see an average performance increase of 93% through the DLSS 2 tech, enabling a 4k 60+ FPS experience for those using a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and up.

NVIDIA GeForce NOW Ultimate Members can use the equivalent of GeForce RTX 4080 cloud GPUs to play at 4K 120 FPS/120 Hz speeds on compatible devices, meaning regardless of the hardware you have, you can still get the increased graphical fidelity and frame rate spikes you’d see with better hardware through NVIDIA’s cloud gaming subscription service.

Baldur'S Gate 3 Launches Tomorrow With Nvidia Enhancements

Other DLSS games launching in August through NVIDIA’s technology services and updates include:

  • DESORDRE: A Puzzle Game Adventure – moving to Unreal Engine 5.2 – adds NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination, NVIDIA Shader Execution Reordering, and NVIDIA DLSS 3 for an average performance upgrade of 3.6X at 4K with max settings enabled
  • Lost Soul Aside – launching with DLSS 3
  • Remnant II – available now with DLSS 3
  • Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival – available now with DLSS 2

As NVIDIA continues to lead the way in the hardware and technology space, improvements to games across the industry will continue to flow, as their NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming subscription service continues to make strides forward in offerings and technological specs as well.
