Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Leaked By Ratings Board

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Leaked By Ratings Board 1

Bulletstorm is one of AAA gaming’s saddest casualties. People Can Fly’s excellent and hilarious shooter was shoved out onto the market by EA, with barely any promotion. After that, it was barely supported, and left to flounder on store shelves. Even worse, it’s one of the few PC games that hasn’t had Games for Windows Live patched out, meaning that playing that version is more hassle than it’s worth. This excellent, creative burst of energy was left to rot on every platform it came out on.

But things have looked up in recent years. People Can Fly not only regained the rights to their IP, but regained independence from Epic Games. People have long speculated on a re-release of Bulletstorm, or even a sequel. A leaked set of assets earlier this year only threw more fuel to the fire. Now, if a Brazilian Advisory Ratings Board listing is to be believed, we may very well be getting a new version of the crude shooter in the near future.

Not much is known at this point, but Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Interestingly, it looks like the game will be put out by Gearbox Software. This is all we have to go on at the moment, but honestly, this is more than enough. If this listing is legit, we’ll be getting a definitive version of one of gaming’s funniest titles, put out by a publisher who knows a thing or two about comedy-inclined games.

This, then, raises some questions. Has Gearbox absorbed People Can Fly? Do they now own the rights to the Bulletstorm IP, or is this strictly a publishing deal? Ultimately, we won’t know until they want us to, but it’s safe to hedge your bets on Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition hitting stores in 2017.
