Right after the CyberPunk 2077: The Phantom Liberty expansion, CD PROJEKT RED has pulled back the curtain on Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, where all content can be found in one package.
CD PROJEKT RED’s sci-fi adventure has seen a complete resurgence since its troubled launch way back in December 2020, and today, CD PROJEKT RED has pulled Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition into the light. Ultimate Edition is a release that contains all of the updates from the original launch in 2020 until now, and it includes the critically acclaimed DLC expansion Phantom Liberty at an all-in-one package rate. The Ultimate Edition includes all of the improvements made by Update 2.0, improving AI and adding new weapons for players who take on the mantle of cyber-enhanced mercenary V. The Ultimate Edition includes the base game and expansion all in one spot. Fans also have the option of purchasing the new edition digitally or physically, and both versions will launch on the same day, December 5.
Cyberpunk 2077 has seen an incredible comeback since being delisted on the PlayStation store soon after its 2020 launch. The title has made a wealth of notable improvements, and it has seen a huge adaptation on Netflix with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. In early October, CD PROJEKT RED revealed they have a live-action concept in its very early stages with Anonymous Studios. December’s The Game Awards has even had the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion listed as a nominee in the Best Narrative and Best Performance categories, which is a step up from the backlash that occurred after launch.
