Dragon Ball FighterZ for Switch Receives Release Date 1

The Nintendo Switch release date of Dragon Ball FighterZ has officially been set.

Bandai Namco announced today that the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch in the Americas on September 28, 2018. As an exclusive bonus to Switch owners, all pre-orders of Dragon Ball FighterZ for Switch will include a Japanese version of the Super Famicom fighting game classic, Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden. Early adopters will also be given early access to SSGSS Goku and Vegeta.

Originally released in 1993, Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden was the franchise’s first-ever fighting game. The game retells the series’ first three major arcs, featuring eight playable characters with an additional five hidden as unlockable fighters. Outside of its Japanese release, Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden has only ever been localized in France and Spain.

Dragon Ball FighterZ was revealed this month, during Nintendo’s E3 2018 presentation. In addition to all the features found on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it will also allow for players to use simplified controls that allow for only one Joy-Con controller.

Dragon Ball FighterZ for Nintendo Switch will be available on September 28, 2018.
