Dying Light 2 Stay Human - The Walking Dead Event Launches Today

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is celebrating Skybound Entertainment’s The Walking Dead comic series with an event that starts today.

The legendary The Walking Dead comic series turns 20 years old this year, and to celebrate Techland’s Dying Light 2 Stay Human is launching an event that allows players to combine the best of both worlds for a limited time. Techland has also released a trailer that can be seen below, Spoiler alert, there is gratuitous Lucille exposure, unfortunately without the Jeffrey Dean Morgan played character Negan.

Each day during the week-long event will have new goals for players to accomplish. Whether slaying a zombie in a certain fashion or simply racking up a body count of 850, there are rewards. Each daily goal will reward fans with a stylized The Walking Dead comic cover if they complete the requirements, and fans can then peruse the comic inside Dying Light 2 Stay Human at their leisure.

But that’s not all! The aforementioned 850 body count will net the most gruesome zombie slayers with the iconic Lucille herself in all of its barbed wire bat glory. Ruthlessly taking out the 850 count will not just net the bat, it will give players the blueprint as well. If fans can band together and murder 160 million zombies over the course of The Walking Dead Event, fans can wear the iconic ranger hat Rick Grimes wears in the comics/TV show as well. Fans can choose to purchase The Walking Dead Bundle to fast-track their rewards. For $7.99 USD, fans can snag the following:

  • Lucille and its Blueprint
  • Michonne’s Katana and its Blueprint
  • Negan’s Knife and its Blueprint
  • The Walking Dead Paraglider
  • Rick Grimes Outfit

The Walking Dead Event in Dying Light 2 Stay Human will run from today, July 26, until August 2, so fans should get slaying before the event ends.
