The Elder Scrolls Online Global Reveal Event pulled back the curtain on what’s to come following the cliffhanger conclusion of The ESO: Necrom chapter and introduces the next chapter, The ESO: Gold Road.

The Elder Scrolls Online Global Reveal Event has finally aired, and fans have now been introduced to the vast biomes of the West Weald in The ESO: Gold Road. Fans familiar with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will instantly recognize the hub city of Skingrad, but the main difference this time around is that instead of Oblivion Gates littering the landscape, a jungle has appeared in the West Weald seemingly overnight, and it will be up to the player to determine what has happened. The latest trailer announcing The Gold Road can be seen below.

The newest chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online has also introduced a new crafting system called “Scribing,” which is The ESO precursor to spell crafting. At launch, there will be 22 different styles to play around with and more information involving Scribing will be given at a later date. What would a Gold Road be without rewards, Zenimax Studios has promised there will be a wealth of in-game rewards to EARN and not pay for in this chapter, so fans will have to explore the new biomes of The Gold Road, Valenwood Annexation and The Colovian Highlands to earn all the wealth the Gold Road chapter offers.

Following The ESO: Necrom chapter (Spoiler Alert), fans were introduced to a cliffhanger mic drop, and a new Daedric Prince called Ithelia, the Prince of Paths, was introduced. In an almost 180-degree shift from her brother Hermaeus Mora, she appears crystalline (without tentacles) and has run afoul of amnesia. Zenimax Studios has assured players that this chapter will put the players through a series of quests that will neatly wrap The ESO: Necrom and Gold Road storylines up in a neat package, and it will be released in typical The Elder Scrolls Online fashion, with a calendar starting with a new dungeon and prologue chapter.
