Tomorrow, EVE Online deploys the biggest community joke in real time: Fenris Creations is putting a real cow in charge and livestreaming the whole thing on Twitch. You can even play with the cow in real time, too!
It’s official: community jokes may have gone too far. On the back of the EVE Online community, Capsuleers have been infatuated with herds of bovine following the release of The Cradle of War expansion, namely, because the abbreviation is CoW. Players have nonstop made bovine-adjacent puns at the expansion’s expense on community forums, and now, it’s Fenris Creations’ turn. Tomorrow, Fenris Creations is deploying a real livestock cow to the frontlines of EVE Online, and it’s being livestreamed on Twitch straight from the cow’s farm. I’m serious.

The stream kicks off at 9 a.m. ET, at twitch.tv/fenriscreations and runs for roughly 4 to 6 hours, although the stream is “on the cow’s time.” The new Capsuleer comes from a farm in Iceland, and FC CapitalCowPilot will pilot a Rorqual using custom-made giant, cow-proof buttons scattered throughout her outdoor space. Each button is mapped directly to an EVE Online control, so if she decides to step on one, that action will happen in-game. FC CapitalCowPilot will be running an open highsec mining fleet, and any player who wants to fly with a cow can join her on her adventure throughout the game.

There’ll also be community goals throughout the stream that unlock new reveals about the upcoming EVE: CoW MU major update if the goals are met. Fenris developers and team members will be dropping by the farm (and stream) throughout the day, so fans may see some familiar faces.
Viewers can also pick up exclusive Twitch Drops featuring SKINs based on FC CapitalCowPilot’s actual coat pattern, plus a custom Twitch chat badge made just for the event. The event goes live tomorrow at 9 a.m. EST, so fans can play CoW and watch a cow play CoW for the first (and maybe last) time.
