Evercade Manufacturer, Blaze Entertainment, has announced a new partnership with SNK Corporation to continue and celebrate the legacy of Neo Geo for years to come.
With Evercade and Blaze collaborating with the legendary Japanese gaming company, SNK, there will be new products released throughout 2025 and 2026, with more details to be revealed in late Q1 of 2025. With the exciting announcement, the company has released a short teaser showcasing the Neo Geo startup screen with an Evercade logo included.
Evercade lines of products would consist of handhelds, consoles, and arcade cabinets to help bring gamers back in time with retro games. What makes the Evercade selling point unique is all of their devices have a slot for Evercade’s range of cartridges, each containing a selection of retro and indie games. Currently, there are more than 60 Evercade cartridges available, with over 500 officially licensed retro games that span across 50 years of video games.
Despite the many games available, there was a lack of SNK and Neo Geo cartridges. But with the new partnership, the players can look forward to the many releases of Neo Geo cartridges for their existing Evercade systems, and it could also lead to SNK versions of the Evercade Alpha, the recently released Bartop arcade machine. So far there are two arcade machines available from the company, each offering a selection of Capcom games and featuring a slot for Evercade cartridges.
