Bethesda’s open-world action RPG Fallout 76 just launched its new seasonal update today, Atlantic City – America’s Playground.
Fallout 76 is an open-world multiplayer action RPG set in the Fallout universe developed by Bethesda Game Studios. Players can roam around the open world known as “Appalachia,” where they can do numerous quests, fight against enemy factions and immerse themselves in the ongoing narrative of the series. Players can experience the game in both solo or coop play with up to 4 players in a group. You can watch the trailer for the new update below:
This new free update, America’s Playground, is a sequel to the Atlantic City expansion released on December 5, 2023. Players will return to Atlantic City, where they can experience new quests in the city and across the rest of the Appalachia. Players will also be able to freely roam the rest of this New Jersey city while also taking on the threat of the Overgrown, plantfolk enemies introduced in Atlantic City that have taken over the flooded city centre.
For players more invested in the narrative, America’s Playground will expand on the story introduced in the Atlantic City expansion with three new main quests, two new expeditions and a multitude of side quests for players to tackle.
America’s Playground is the beginning of Fallout 76’s Season 16: Duel with the Devil. The theme of this season will be an “epic fight between Rip Daring and the Jersey Devil.” Players who are more oriented towards gameplay and competition can climb their way through the ranks to collect various rewards as they participate in this season’s update.
