Skybound Entertainment, the publisher behind the massively popular long-running comic books such as The Walking Dead and Invincible, has just launched the next part of their Invincible experience in Fortnite, Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids.
Utilizing the new Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids is the continuation of the Invincible universe in Fortnite experiences. It follows up on the narrative experience Invincible: Doc Seismic Attacks and the free-for-all shooter Invincible: GDA Combat Training.
Invincible Universe – Rise of the Sequids is a free-to-play 10v10 deathmatch experience playable through Fortnite. Developed by Skybound Games, a subsidiary of Skybound Entertainment, players will take on the role of either Human or Sequid. Sequids are parasitic alien creatures found within the Invincible series. When players from either side kill each other, they convert the player to their race. The goal is to convert every player into one race, ending the game with either Humans or Sequids completely dominating the playing field at the end.

The Invincible comic series, created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, debuted with their first volume back on January 22, 2003. It is a much more mature take on the typical comic book superhero story catered more to adults. The series continued to run for fifteen years, spawning multiple spin-offs and an animated series through Amazon Prime Video in March 2021.
Season Two of the Invincible animated series started airing back in November 2023 following the events of the previous with part one releasing four episodes during the month. The second season recently ended with part two which aired from March 2024 to April 2024 ending with episode eight on April 4 through Prime Video.
