Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 Is Starting This Weekend 2

Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 is an event that showcases the best games and the most talented people showcasing them by way of blasting through at the fastest speeds.

The annual event kicks off this weekend and will play host to some of the best titles of 2021, such as Psychonauts 2, and Chicory: A Colorful Tale. The exciting event will also have classic returning Games Done Quick darlings such as the original Ratchet & Clank, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, all in the name of charity.

The schedule this year is a screamer as it features some long additions, and some truly punishing ones in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but blindfolded by accomplished speed runner Mitchriz. Speedrunning is as much an art, as it is a showcase, the Games Done Quick community are not only focusing on completing titles with the fastest ability, they’re being spectated by thousands at the same time which really adds to the nail-biting experience.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 is held to support charity, and this year the charity of choice is the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Their ‘mission is saving lives across all populations through cancer prevention and early detection.’ Not only can donations be placed through the AGDQ website, but all donations made during the live stream will be in proceeds to this great cause. AGDQ 2021 raised over $2 million, which is no small feat.

Games Done Quick has been around since 2010, finishing games in lightning fast times for over a decade. In this time they’ve raised money for many renowned charitable organizations around the globe, dedicated to advancing research for good causes.

The massive AGDQ 2022 event starts January 9, and can be streamed via the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel. Updates on the event can also be seen on their Twitter account, but fans wanting to spectate their favourite games need to act fast, or they might be completed already.
