Ghost in the Shell: First Assault Shuts Down in December 1

Ghost in the Shell: First Assault will be shutting down.

The unfortunate news comes directly from a Steam community post from the First Assault development team. In the post, details surrounding the plans for the final few months for Ghost in the Shell: First Assault were laid out. The game will officially shut-down on December 6, 2017, pacific standard time. The post went on to state that continued development for the title wasn’t going to help realise what the development team ultimately envisioned for the title.

Support for the game will continue until December 2017. The in-game store in Ghost in the Shell: First Assault will be removed in a soon to be released patch for the title. The Steam downloadable content has already been removed immediately following the announcement regarding the shutdown.

Ghost in the Shell: First Assault launched in early 2016 and was relatively well received, with many fans citing that the game did an admirable job in recreating the high science-fiction anime aesthetic from the source material. Those interested in playing Ghost in the Shell: First Assault can do so until the game is shut-down for good on December 6, 2017.
