Google Stadia Can Now Be Accessed by LG OLED TVs

LG OLED TVs Can Now Access Google Stadia

LG’s line of OLED TVs now have access to Google Stadia, letting players stream the service’s games directly.

Google Stadia is now simply an app you can download from the LG Store, as long as your TV is running webOS 5.0 or webOS 6.0. You will need a controller to connect to your TV, but luckily Stadia supports both PS4 and Xbox One controllers, on top of Google’s own controller.

LG’s gaming support has been steadily increasing over the last few years, as this year the company also started supporting Nvidia GeForce Now, another streaming game service. A few of the recent models released, like the LG CX OLED, include gaming-specific features, including a low-latency gaming mode, support for variable refresh rates, Dolby Vision HDR, and Dolby Atmos audio support.

While Google Stadia hasn’t exactly been a runaway success, the service has been available on more devices is certainly a good thing, and Google has continued to add more services and games since Stadia’s launch. New free games are added each month, and here’s a list of some titles available:

  • Wreckfest
  • Transformers Battlegrounds-Complete Edition
  • Wavetale
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
