With fans forecasting another delay for Grand Theft Auto 6, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed the next GTA, all but re-confirming its release date.
With the current Grand Theft Auto 6 information drought, fans have continued to believe the sixth mainline installment of the GTA franchise would be delayed further (out of November 2026) due to the lack of information and have taken to forums like Reddit to discuss. Almost as if Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reads forums, he took to the iicon (Interactive Innovation Conference) today — which serves as a new conference for video game executives — to talk about the next GTA (reported by IGN).

While Zelnick did not outright say the suggested MSRP of GTA 6, he did say, “Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery,” adding, “How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got.”
Zelnick says what they want to do with Grand Theft Auto 6 is “make sure that what people pay for it feels very reasonable,” which suggests the price will be lower than what fans believed would be a $100 release.
On the topic of release date, Zelnick stopped short of saying the November 19 release date is a go. Zelnick said, “What we think about is making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth, in history – and it’s a pretty daunting challenge. If we do that, and if we’re of service to our customers,” adding, he thinks, “a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19.” This reconfirms the commitment to November 19 as the set-in-stone release date, and fans can let out a breath of fresh air.
As it appears, Take-Two has re-committed to the November 19 release date for Grand Theft Auto 6. While there’s still no new trailer or gameplay out, fans can head to forums to continue the conversation while Rockstar Games takes more time in the kitchen, or watch the latest trailer here.
