Today Mattel, Inc. announced a virtual Roblox experience, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power!
Roblox is a global online platform for shared experiences that connects millions of people in its metaverse. Launching today, the game will invite Roblox players and MOTU fans to the world of Eternia to compete in PvP battles as their favourite characters, inspired by the Netflix animated series.
Developed by Gamefam, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power! is a free-to-play RPG game that’s available through Roblox on Xbox One, PC, and mobile. Players can play as one of many Masters of the Universe characters, and battle against their friends in unique Eternian locales. They can also collect and upgrade additional Masters as well as their cosmetics, and explore Grayskull to uncover its secrets.
“Masters of the Universe is an iconic global property about becoming the best version of yourself,” said the VP of Global Head of Action Figures at Mattel. PJ Lewis. “We’re delighted to be on Roblox to provide a new opportunity for fans to connect with our all-new Netflix series via this interactive experience where anyone can explore Eternia through the lens of their favorite characters.”
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power! is Mattel’s second brand to join the Roblox World. The first was HOT WHEELS OPEN WORLD. According to Mattel, fans can look forward to new content releases for the game every month. Last summer, Mattel and Netflix entered a partnership to bring Eternia back to screens in two new series.
Beyond the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series on Netlfix for the kids, there was also the new Masters of the Universe: Revelation series, a continuation of the 1980s storyline when Kevin Smith served as the showrunner for the show. The series featured a voice cast of Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, Chris Wood, and Sara Michelle Gellar. Mattel’s Masters of the Universe was first introduced in 1982 through a line of action figures. Then in 1983, the animated series premiered becoming one of the first children’s programs to be published on television.

In addition to Roblox’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: You Have The Power! game, there is Masters of the Universe: Revelation also on Netflix, along with a new Masters of the Universe movie is scheduled for release in 2024 as well.
