Hereditary Actress Toni Collette Joins Guillermo Del Toro’s Nightmare Alley 2

Just after the successful premiere of her film Knives Out, Toni Collette has joined Guillermo del Toro’s all-star thriller, Nightmare Alley.

This weekend brought news that one of horror’s greatest actors is teaming up with one of the genre’s masters: Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense, Hereditary) has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley. The Hollywood Reporter stated that Collette will play a mentalist named Zeena who mentors the con man protagonist. Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett are already on board, and the project has actors such as Richard Jenkins and Michael Shannon circling as well.

“Guillermo is a true auteur,” said Collette in a statement. “I look forward to collaborating with him and the amazing cast he has already assembled. What an honour.”

Bradley Cooper is headlining the Fox Searchlight production, an adaptation of the 1946 noir novel by William Lindsay that first hit the screen as a 1947 noir film starring Tyrone Power. Del Toro is directing the thriller and wrote the script with Kim Morgan.

This project is still in its infancy, with a shoot in Toronto planned for early 2020. Still, we’ll be keeping a very close eye on Nightmare Alley and bringing you any and all updates.
