At IFA 2026, Hohem, the global technology brand that specializes in intelligent image stabilization systems, unveiled its first smart camera, Eyepic.
Vlogging and action cameras are all the rage right now, and at IFA 2026, Hohem has another innovation for comsumers who want to document everything on film. Although Hohem is not a household name, their products can be found saddled to smart phones everywhere, with the company’s gimbals adding stabilization and object tracking to video capture. Today, they’ve unveiled their first crack at a 2-in-1 pocket gimbal detachable action camera combo, the Eyepic. The Eyepic is a tiny 4K video camera that can be handheld, worn, or magnetically mounted to a three-axis gimbal.
Hohem hasn’t shared everything under the surface of the new Eyepic, but it’ll come with a hat clip and lanyard, like similar hybrid cameras from GoPro, DJI and Insta360. By including a detachable camera unit with three-axis stabilisation, the Eyepic allows users to switch seamlessly from ultra-smooth handheld filming to a lightweight, wearable perspective.It also comes with magnetic connectors to attach to metal surfaces and has waterproof construction for up to 32.8 feet underwater.
When detached, the Eyepic gimbal retracts and locks. Users can then monitor a 1080p live preview and adjust settings on the handle’s 2.51-inch touchscreen from up to 33ft away. With a one-handed rotation of the Eyepic touchscreen, users can switch between landscape and portrait modes to cater to any content creator.
In vertical mode, Eyepic records at up to (2160 × 3840) at 60 fps, capturing full-resolution vertical 4K. Hohem boasted at IFA 2026 the footage can then be framed for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from the point of capture, rather than adapted from horizontal video afterwards. This lets creators skip a whole step in content creation.
Hohem also unveiled two new smartphone gimbals at IFA 2026. The iSteady V4 Ultra has a detachable touchscreen and native Apple DockKit tracking in the iPhone camera app, and the iSteady X4 offers native Apple DockKit tracking and an integrated touch-control panel. Hohem introduced the Mic 2, the company’s next foray into wireless audio, which comes with one receiver and up to four transmitters for interviews, podcasts and work meeting recordings.
