Injustice 2 Gets Cold with Sub-Zero's Release 2

Our favorite DC Comics’ heroes and villains get ready to throw down with one of Mortal Kombat’s own as Sub-Zero launches into Injustice 2 today.

Available for customers who purchased Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2 Deluxe Edition, or Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack players are able to get their hands on the latest fighter now.

Injustice 2’s Sub Zero comes with the same control of ice as he has had in every Mortal Kombat game. This includes freezing his opponents alongside his ice clones. Look out Captain Cold, you’re not the only person who controls ice anymore.

Unique to Injustice 2, Sub-Zero receives a new costume designed by the legendary Jim Lee, Co-Publisher at DC-Entertainment.

Sub-Zero is not the first Mortal Kombat character to do battle against DC Comics’ superheroes. The original Injustice had Scorpion added to its roster. This means that both of the brothers from Mortal Kombat have had a chance to throw down with some of the world’s greatest superheroes.

To check out Sub-Zero in all his glory, take a look at the trailer below.

Sub-Zero is not the first DLC character released for the game. Earlier in the year, Batman’s Red Hood released as the first character in the upcoming Battle Pack. Furthermore, following Sub-Zero, Starfire will be the next character getting added to the game’s roster.

Released on May 11, 2017, Injustice 2 met with critical acclaim. Receiving glowing reviews from many different places, Injustice 2 set itself up as one of the pillars of current fighting games. Our own Phil Brown took a look at the game and you can read his review here.
