Intel X 2K Unveils Exclusive PC Partnership for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII

Intel has announced they will be teaming up with 2K to deliver CPU and GPU optimization to the upcoming Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, alongside an Intel Builder Bundle to receive the game.

Intel and 2K will be collaborating to launch the Intel Builder Bundle, featuring the upcoming Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. Starting today, gamers who purchase qualifying Intel Core Ultra processors (series 2) or Intel Core Desktop processors (14th Gen) could be eligible to receive a digital copy of the game if purchased from participating partners, as the game will be released on February 11, 2025. Alongside the bundle release, Intel and 2K are aiming to deliver the best experience for the upcoming game whether they are running on high-end build or mainstream Intel processors, with the assistance of Intel XeSS Super Resolution Support, bringing Intel graphic upscaling solution to the franchise for the first time.

Intel and the developer Firaxis Games will be continuing their CPU optimization, including Intel Core Ultra and Intel Core CPU scheduling optimization to ensure the best possible performance on Intel processors. Whether the players are using the AI-enhanced Intel Core Ultra processors (series 2) or Intel Core desktop processors (14th gen) if they are more of a performance-per-dollar consumer, the collaboration will be delivering a high-quality experience for every player. 

With the many gamers excited for Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, 2K will be hosting a Civ World Summit, a live Civ VII multiplayer showdown between five remarkable members of the Civ community. The live stream will take place on February 8, broadcasting from the XPERION Hamburg in Germany, with Firaxis community manager Sarah Engel and famed Civ creator PotatoMcWhiskey hosting the summit in partnership with Rocket Beans TV.

While the local fans can buy the tickets from the Rocket Beans website if they wish to attend the event in person, the live stream will be broadcasted on Twitch, Youtube, and Facebook, with a Twitch Drop reward enabled as the players can receive a Cavalary Charged Banner cosmetic. 

The Intel Builder Bundle will be available worldwide (except for China) today through March 31, 2025, from the participating partners, and fans of the franchise can download Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11, 2025, released on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
