After many rumours and speculations that Jason Momoa will play the Bounty Hunter Lobo, it has now been confirmed in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Jason Momoa has been linked to the role of the ultra violent alien bounty hunter, Lobo, since the actor himself stated that he wanted to play the role back in 2019, calling the anti-hero his favourite. Luckily for the actor and fans, Jason Momoa has been officially cast in the role of the Last Czarnian, and he posted the news on his official Instagram account with the exact quote he said in an interview back in 2019.

Jason said in 2019 “I collect comics, and I don’t do so much anymore, but was always my favourite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I’m like, ‘Hello? It’s the perfect role,’” said the actor. Momoa went on to say that should DC come around asking him to play Lobo, it would be “a f*ck yeah,” saying he would show up if they asked him to audition. In today’s Instagram post, Momoa said “They called.”
Lobo was created by writer Roger Slifer and artist Keith Giffen and first introduced in the Omega Men #3 comic issue in June 1983, where he faces off against the extraterrestrial superhero team in outer space. Lobo is depicted as being an ultra violent alien, and his live-action debut was portrayed by Emmett J. Scanlan in the series Krypton Season 2, which explored a grudge against the Superman nemesis Brainiac.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is said to closely follow Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, but all plot details remain under wraps for the time being. Aside from that, House of the Dragon‘s Milly Alcock landed the titular role as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem Of The Yellow Hills, and Eve Ridley (3 Body Problem) as Ruthye Marye Knoll so far.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be a part of the James Gunn and Peter Safran DC Universe overhaul, and we will share more information as we have it.
