Little Nicky 2 Rumours Resurface & Sequel Remains Sadly Unconfirmed

New sequel speculation has hit the ground running today on the internet with an Adam Sandler cult-classic film, Little Nicky, as a poster for Little Nicky 2 has reignited rumours for a sequel.

Adam Sandler has a bit of a cult following with his Happy Madison Production films. From Happy Gilmore, to Billy Madison, Adam Sandler has uncorked a brand of comedy that continues to release films at a rapid pace, but one thing is for certain, Sandler films don’t usually get sequels. Despite film popularity, sequels are rare for the comedian, which is why rumours of the cult-classic film, Little Nicky from 2000, receiving a sequel are so special. Sandler’s only reprised on-screen roles are from Grown Ups 2 and Murder Mystery 2, so any mention of another Sandler sequel is special, especially one from 24 years ago. The problem is that the rumours aren’t real.

A new poster has appeared on the internet that suggests not only is a sequel in development, but it’s also in development from Netflix, and it has a working title of Little Nicky: Hell Takes a Vacation. The poster that has made the rounds can be easily identified as fake considering the poses are identical in both posters, with a red robe plastered over the original’s blue parka in a clear Photoshop job, and an updated skyline for New York City. Both posters, the original and the new one for the ‘sequel’ can be seen below.

The fake poster also has “May 2024” emblazoned on the top of it, and no news — including from Adam Sandler himself — has been divulged regarding a Little Nicky 2. Fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express excitement regarding the prospect of a sequel. User JamesLillyk writesLittle Nicky 2 coming to Netflix in May…..OH MY GAAAAWD” in a post on the site, which echoes others who have been excitedly posting about a potential sequel. It just so happens a sequel will likely never happen, or at least it wont until an official announcement is made.
