Today, it was announced that Toronto Blue Jays All-Star 1st baseman Vladimir Geurrero Jr. will be the cover star for MLB The Show 24.

Joining his father, Vladimir Guerrero, the pair now make the first-ever father and son pair to be cover athletes for an MLB game, with Vladimir Guerrero Sr. gracing the cover of MLB 06 for the PSP. MLB The Show 23’s cover athlete was Jazz Chisholm Jr. from The Marlins.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr—the 2023 Home Run Derby winner for Canada’s only MLB team—was chosen because of his dedication to baseball, embodying the best qualities of the game, as well as being a leader in the community, which is extremely important to him.
