The partnership of LEGO Pokémon dropped onto the internet to reveal a whopping 12 new SMART play sets today, and they’re all up for pre-order now.
LEGO revealed a new slate of Pokémon sets on Tuesday that expands the lineup of brick-based pocket monsters in a big way. There are 12 sets in total, each one containing at least one LEGO Pokémon crossover character that will be instantly recognizable to fans of the series. These new LEGO Pokémon sets make use of fancy new SMART Play technology, just like the Star Wars-flavoured sets that were first shown off at CES 2026. All are up for pre-order starting today, and will come with an extra gift with purchase (just like Minas Tirith).

As announced at CES 2026, the idea behind LEGO SMART Play is that players can create their own moving images and short videos using their LEGO SMART playsets, very much like The LEGO Movie (but in bite-sized clips). The LEGO SMART Brick (included with the new LEGO Pokémon sets) is packed with technologies that bring play to life, including sensors, accelerometers, light sensing, a sound sensor, a miniature speaker, and much more. The new Pokémon-themed sets are set to use this technology to recreate some iconic moments from the series or make their own new scenes. All of the announced sets and specs are listed below, alongside official pre-order links.

Fans should note that not all of the SMART sets come with the SMART brick required for play. Only two of the announced sets come with SMART Bricks included: Training House with Pikachu (1x SMART Brick) and Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle (2x SMART Bricks). The rest will require LEGO Pokémon consumers to purchase one separately or use an existing one from a previous Star Wars SMART set. All of the new LEGO Pokémon sets are arriving on August 1, and they’re up for pre-order today.
