Go further down the rabbit hole and get two Alice games for the price of one.
In case you missed the first game, American McGee has announced that Alice: Madness Returns will include a download code for the original Alice.
“A person who’s purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game alongside playing Madness Returns,” McGee told CVG.
The original Alice was released on PC in 2000 and followed the adventures of an older Alice after the events of the books Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The game featured a much darker and twisted version of Wonderland that was representative of Alice’s broken mental state.
McGee also said that Madness Returns would feature DLC in the form of dresses that “come with special abilities and enhance how you play through the game.”
Including the original Alice is a smart move since most console owners probably missed the game during its original run on PC. Alice: Madness Returns is scheduled for a June 14 release for the PC, OS X, the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3.
