Not even a week into the New Year, a Persona 3 Remake has been reportedly leaked before the Switch, Xbox, and PS ports arrive later this month.

There has already been numerous reported leaks over the past week, such as the OnePlus 11 or even the new special edition Tears of the Kingdom flavoured Switch — both have yet to be formally confirmed still — and now gamers have another software related leak to get potentially excited about. It has been reportedly rumoured that Persona 3 will receive the remake treatment, this comes from a prominent Xbox leaker via Resetera, and of course arrives prior to the new Persona 3 Portable port to Xbox, Switch and PlayStation consoles.

This is further compounded by a Famitsu article that suggests Altus has many things in store for 2023, with a list of many game companies showing their aspirations for the New Year. A Google Translated version of the Atlus New Year card can be seen below:

Happy New Year!

Thank you very much for your support and patronage for the remastered version of P4U2 in 2022, the Nintendo Switch version of 13 Sentinels: Aegis RimSoul Hackers 2, and the remastered version of Persona 5 Royal. Thanks to your support, the remastered edition of P5R achieved 1 million sales within one month of its release, and P5R as a whole has surpassed 3.3 million units worldwide.

In 2023, we will start with the remastered releases of P3P and P4G, and we are also preparing several new unannounced titles. Please look forward to it!

Altus, Famitsu

The Resetera thread features prominent leaker, lolilolailo who spilled the beans on the Xbox Game Pass ports prior to release and doubled down when questioned by user Katmeister “Why did Atlus bother to remaster P3P then? Seems more harmful to their brand to put out a worse product when they’re working on the solution to that. Not trying to catch you out btw, I’m just trying to understand this,” to which they replied with “P3R is like Persona 5, both graphically and QoL stuff related. And the content (or the lack of it) might not leave all the fans happy, so they still have P3P. Also it’s Atlus.”

For what it’s worth, the whole back and forth can be read on Resetera. Fans should err on the side of caution however, as Atlus hasn’t formally confirmed anything just yet.
