Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Part 2: The Indigo Disk Is Available Today!

Today, the Pokémon Company has finally released the second part of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk has finally come to Paldea.

It’s finally here, the second part of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk has finally arrived on the shores of Paldea. With the DLC, returning Pokémon from all generations from the series will be introduced, but fans should be warned that the entire PokéDex (numbering 1021 in total) won’t be available and there’s no confirmation if that will happen in the future. But, The Indigo Disk brings more than just an overseas ‘study abroad’ trip at the Blueberry Academy. The latest trailer can be seen below.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Part 2: The Indigo Disk Key Features

Pokémon Scarlet &Amp; Violet Dlc Part 2: The Indigo Disk Is Available Today!
  • The Terarium at Blueberry Academy lies beneath the ocean and is split into four quadrants or biomes, where travel is seamless between the four areas. These areas range from tropical beaches to icy mountains – and of course, each area houses different Pokémon to catch.
  • Koraidon and Moraidon turn into full-fledged flying creatures in the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, as the flight ability temporarily gained during the Elite Trial set by Amarys, can be gained again for keeps (after advancing far enough in the story).
  • Starters no longer – the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC allows trainers to encounter first partner Pokémon from past titles in the core Pokémon video game series inside the Terarium. All of the starters will be available to catch in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet through The Indigo Disk biomes.
  • A new 19th Tera Type has been uncovered. The Terastal phenomenon in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet allows Pokémon to change types, while also beefing up their attacks and making them sparkle like treasure. But, a new Tera type has been discovered in The Indigo Disk, but much is still unknown. It also remains to be seen if this Tera Type will be turned into a new base type for Pokémon in the future.
  • Once enough progress is made in The Indigo Disk DLC, you can use a device called the Synchro Machine to see the world through the eyes of your Pokémon. Once synchronized, you’ll be able to move around and battle wild Pokémon – a new way to experience Pokémon.
  • A character named Snacksworth allows trainers the opportunity to encounter legendary Pokémon from other regions (once the main story of The Indigo Disk is complete) in the Paldea region. Snacksworth also adds juxtaposition regarding these legends, including backstory and what’s special about them. A solid bridging of the gap between former generations of Pokémon and The Indigo Disk.

All of these features can be explored in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet today, as fans can jump right into The Indigo Disk DLC right now. Those looking for more info can visit the official Pokémon website before adventuring.
