War Gaming’s World of Warships, the ultra-popular, free-to-play warship themed online game will be coming to consoles, specifically PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. World of Warships will be joining War Gaming’s previously released PC-to-console title, World of Tanks.
Under a new name, World of Warships: Legends is scheduled for release sometime in 2019, with War Gaming planning on releasing more details surrounding the warship sim during Gamescom 2018, in Cologne, Germany, starting August 21. Console players excited to check out the title are encouraged to sign-up for a chance to check out the console Alpha, which readers can do so by clicking here.
World of Warships takes place during the first half of the twentieth-century, pitting players against each other in large-scale sea battles, armed to the teeth with an eclectic range of warships, painstakingly recreated in-game from their real-life counterparts, not dissimilar to War Gaming’s other popular PC and console title, World of Tanks. On PC, the title continues to grow with new content, such as the inclusion of new ships, PvE missions, Tech-tree branches and numerous other quality of life improvements since the initial 2015 launch.
No specific release date has been announced for World of Warships: Legends at this time.
