The release date for the highly anticipated action adventure game, Red Dead Redemption 2 has finally been announced.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on October 26, 2018 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. It is the long-awaited sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption which came out back in May of 2010. The game was originally set to release in fall of 2017, but was delayed in order to “provide the best experience possible for our fans.”
Developer, Rockstar Games, announced the release in a statement, complete with a series of new screenshots from the game. They also apologized to,”everyone disappointed by this delay” and they took the time to “sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it.” Their full statement can be found on their website.
The original Red Dead Redemption was praised by fans and critics alike for its trailblazing open world and refined attention to detail. The game received a 95% on review aggregate site Metacritic.
