In one of the more shocking announcements of the night, players were given a brand new look at the long in-development Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
Announced during SGF 2026, the game based on one of the darkest interpretations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is being worked on by the newly established Paramount Games Studio alongside Platinum Games. While the trailer itself is sparse on details, it is exciting to see the project is still in development with two dedicated studios comprised of industry experts.
Designed to transform world-class IP into immersive franchise experiences, the new studio includes all Paramount and Skydance gaming studios, including Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media, built on a single conviction: the franchise’s fans love most deserve games built by people who love them just as much. The studio features industry veterans like, Dan Prigg, Kara Bilkiss and Ray Davis.

Revealed during the 2025 THQ Nordiq Showcase (the initial development team for the game), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a AAA action-adventure game, based on the popular comic book series, TMNT: The Last Ronin follows the last surviving Ninja Turtle as he embarks on a desperate mission for vengeance. TMNT: The Last Ronin will be available on consoles and PC.
